Store Space Opens West York PA Location
Company Replaces ‘Big Ugly Warehouse’ With State-of-the-Art Facility
WINTER GARDEN, FL | Sept. 10, 2024 | Store Space Self Storage revealed today its newest storage facility, a 750-unit facility in West York, PA. Located at 200 S Sumner St, the facility is the sixth in the Keystone State, its first outside of the Philadelphia region.

The 2-story building features 750 climate-controlled storage units with 97,175 net rentable square footage (NRSF). Guests can choose from a wide range of unit sizes, including small 5x5, medium 10x10 and large 10x30 units, with multiple sizes in between.
“This Store Space location was constructed with the climate of the area in mind,” Collins said. “A covered unloading area helps keep belongings dry no matter the weather, and climate-controlled units go a long way toward mitigating damage that can occur from drastic changes in the weather.”
The facility offers other conveniences for guests, including ADA accessible parking, automatic lighting, computer-controlled access points, and handcarts, as well as a fully stocked office with boxes, moving supplies and other packing essentials.
The new construction replaced the former structure, known locally as the “big ugly warehouse,” which was razed following storm damage in July of 2021. The project was developed by A&E Construction of Upper Darby, PA.
